What we store
- Your sign-in. Your account is managed by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your account id, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your display name. Passwords are handled by Firebase and never reach our server.
- What you save in the app. Holdings lists, saved comparison portfolios, allocation sets, target weights, your last optimization and backtest, and the ids of items you deleted (so deletions apply on all your devices). These are stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your account.
- In your browser. A copy of the same data plus your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage so the app loads quickly. Signing out removes it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Services that process requests
The app runs on Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Firestore, Firebase Hosting and Authentication). To show prices, statements and economic data, the server requests public market data from Yahoo Finance, FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis), SEC EDGAR and Wikipedia. Those requests contain ticker symbols, not your identity or your holdings.
Deleting your data
Open your account from the name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your sign-in and everything saved to your account. Server logs that record requests (without your portfolio contents) are kept by Google Cloud for up to 30 days.
